Scorpion Fighting System (SFS)
1. Scorpion Fighting System's name is derived from the idea of how a scorpion kills its prey. A scorpion first subdues its opponent with the claws to establish control then looks to finish it with a strike from the stinger. A jiu jitsu competitor is very similar, a guard or any position of control is secured and then we look for an opening to finish our opponent.

3. The Zodiac sign of Scorpio is often symbolized the phoenix (the bird that is constantly dying and being reborn, rising from the ashes revamped and new.) This symbolizes SFS's theory of constant evolution. SFS will pursue and maintain a quest of improving ourselves with an open mind to new perspectives and techniques.
4. The word system was chosen instead of style because a system is easily modified and improved upon, again the idea of constant evolution
5. Team colors are black and white, nothing fancy, simply what works. SFS will pursue the most practical grappling techniques and strategies that work in real situations. |
